Eagle Foundation Alumni Network — The purpose of the EF Alumni Network  is to promote the interests and welfare of John F. Kennedy High School, its alumni, faculty, students, and if needed the surrounding neighborhood schools. In fulfilling its mission of service, the Alumni Network also provides opportunities for alumni to keep up with the latest community issues, volunteer needs, and to host the annual Day at the ‘K’ reunion event for all Kennedy Classes.

School & Staff Mini-Grants — Mini Grants up to $500 and community partnerships are awarded to teachers and staff to enrich learning environments. Funds and community partnerships have been used to take students on educational field trips, allow for special projects on campus, purchase supplemental materials such as print newspapers for the school library and hands-on science lessons, and much more.  Often, teachers and staff use mini-grants to take students beyond the typical classroom routine, allowing them to offer more creative approaches to learning.

Eagle Foundation Student Scholarship Program — Scholarships are awarded to deserving WCCUSD seniors who demonstrate financial need and exhibit strong leadership skills at school and in their community.  With the help of our generous donors, the EF has had the privilege of helping students pursue their educational goals since 2007.

School & Community Beautification Program — Seeks spaces within our schools that are in need of some TLC and greening. Projects range from creating murals with art students, photographing Richmond, reviving JFK’s Edible Forest in collaboration with Urban Tilth, and YMCA after-school programs; we engage in educational projects that bring good feelings, joy, and campus pride.

Community Engagement Program — We have EAGLE PRIDE! The CEP is about helping students give back to the communities that are currently helping their school.  We seek to build a network of alumni, business owners, and civic leaders who can offer resources, inspiration, and guidance to today’s students.

Day at the ‘K‘ — a day to celebrate and honor Kennedy High School & its role in the community since 1967. “A Day at the K” is a time to strengthen bonds, reminisce, and support JFK. In other words, it’s a community party!

Annual Community Meeting — an opportunity to engage community stakeholders in discussion and exploration on how to best steer Eagle Foundation’s programming in the face of the issues facing neighborhood schools and the greater Richmond community.
